Mamma Mia was GREAT... The scriptwriter is magnificent! To string ABBA's decades worth of songs in a single musical is just brilliant...

But it's gonna be a shame when ppl don't appreciate original ABBA and mistake it for Mamma Mia's by product... It's like those kind of situation where you know a certain song den when ppl remake it and the whole world thinks it's that way... How irritating...

Benny cameoed in the show!! OMGosh! He never changed! Still the same man... Wad a surprise! Haha.

Beng's gonna catch the ABBA fever soon, hopefully it won't be a shallow fad... Things just goin too fast for ppl to sit down n slowly appreciate stuffs...

Holiday

Finally got a chance to slack around.

Although I'm on overseas leave for the past 2 days but I still don't get enough of it. Guess no one will be satisfied no matter how many days you have. Haha.

Anyway thurs was swell. Went to CS with Beng & JX. Hmm... I love Furusato! Finally brought got to share the DELIGHTFUL food with you guys. Was so excited that I forgottened to take photos!! Sian. Haha. But it's really worthed it.

Watched 2 shows. Black Water and Death Race. Hmm... Black Water is really a budget aussie film... Sucks... Better than the Seeker though. Haha. Death Race was pretty cool but was really quite lame... The plot is kinda dumb in the end. It's just a show anyways. Haha.

Yesterday's trip with Suki, Sida n ZH was kinda a bummer. Coz we went in without any plans and anyhow hamtum. Ugh... Next time we gotta plan well before we go in. If not it'll be like lost in the lalang. haha.

Nick asked me if I'm going for the retreat.
He said I could've accomplished more this year.

2 things that pronged my mind. Where am I next year? Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, give to God what belongs to God...

Just to sum it all up.

Time to time we face so much negativity and often we are facing it alone... Usually I try to load it off over here but what do you do if there's too much??? Even if it's all around you??

As much as I hate to drag it over, I too need an outlet... (if u're confused wad i'm blabbling about it's alright, I don't know what I'm typing too...)

The numerous not-meant-to-be-s, the outrageous decisions that's just mind boggling... The disappointments thats thrown at you, failures that stops you right in your tracks... Mistakes that's so silly you thought you wouldn't commit them..

Stumbled upon my MSN Space thru my colleague's invite... I realised how far I've came from my sec sch days til now.. Yet I'm still trying to live my sec sch dreams... Sure I've gotten some of my wishlist items but what does that all mean? At the end of the day am I sucessful in all I do when I competed my list???

I realised that sec sch days are really those good old days where we played, fought and had lots of FREE TIME with each other... Thanks to Yao Hui, Jun Xian n Beng for bringing up the good old memories...

I wanna re-live those innocent days, days that were so pure and worriless. God-seeking and childlike.

Who hasn't had bad times? Really... Flip thru ur diary/blog or old photos... Play some oldies music and be reminded of your good old days... Nostalgia... Remember your wants and see what you have now... Irony is, what you got yourself, is it really what you wanted back then?

I thank God for time me to try setting things right... 2 years. I'll be back...

Service - able...

'U/S' and 'S'...

Yesterday was a fine example of what-you-can-plan-will-go-wrong day... Planned to wake up late and go JB with mum n Jacky... After that come back and rest for service next day.

End up the jam was too long and we headed for CWP. At least I got to see the new shops in there. After that head back home sulking at the inevitable traffic...

So we bought bak kwas and mooncakes for ah ma and ah po. Just before heading there a decision was made... Lantern @ night!! OMGosh.... I wanted to play on sunday!!! Haha...

Anyhows... Ah gong reached home soooooo late! Every night he's working... Oh dear... Sometimes I really wish old ppl weren't so fragile looking... My heart just sank in when I see my ah gong return from work so late... My heart was sobbing inside...

After that Lantern with TTT, Dia n Yao Hui. Haha. It's always always always very fun when Princess n Tanya is around... When Yao Hui is ard it's fun PLUS alot of sweat!

Sometimes I wished you didn't knew.... Things would be so much different.... I don't want it to be this way.... God please ease the pain....

So we played til we got too tired... Sharing stories of the pioneers of SESS really brings back alot of memories. I can taste it again... I won the only basketball tournatment for Warrior! the final score is 2-0... I scored! YAY!. Sweet is the taste of victory! =P

Reached home about 2am.... YEA! Arsenal won! Convincing victory! I loved the assist by Walcott. He definitely can be a start player if he continues to play like this.

Woke up early to meet Suki =) Breakfast at Mrs Yeo's hse downstairs. Brought her to service. I think it's pretty much the same as a Presbytarian service ba... Hopefully she'll join us again =)

Lunch with Beng, SQ n Lizhi. You guys seems be be quite comfortable with each other. Relief! haha.

Watched Kungfu Dunk in Gliderz, headed to CCC with the gang... BUT!!! Did not open... No wonder! TTT! The only open after 17th SEPT!!! We can go there again! Haha.

Ended up in Coffee Club. The muddy pie was pretty nice. I like the base. Headed to Changi T3. Waited sooo long for the seats.... Irritating RACIST asses.... God.. How to love those sooo un-lovable ppl?? It's just so hard to contain this kind of anger...

It wasn't until Lovelle n Shermaine's conversation that reminded me...
God is always in my life... It's up to me how much do I allow Him to be shown...

What is important in my life? Ministry here or the world out there? Sometimes I think leaving your comfort zone will make you see better. Appreciate better, equip you with the knowledge. Like the stars I saw, you will never understand how small you are and what it really means when God became man just to save your puny smelly unforgiving asses...

Never will you be always a Green Label - Serviceable all the time... You might need to go thru servicing to become of better quality... =)

Not very productive... Accomplished 10 rounds... Hmm... Nothing much...

Swimming test! Early morning headed to CNB, olympic size pool and great gym facilities man! How I wished I can use that place everyday! Cleared my Cat 1 and certified fit for ship board! YAY!

The test includes a 75m swim in full working uniform, tread water for 5 mins, strip to your undies and make a float out of ur trousers den swim the remainder 25m. Not to forget a 3m Survival jump! OH MY!!!! How FUN!!!

Do you know how it feels to jump off a building or how those olympic jump-board divers feels like? The 3m was bad enough...

You'd imagine it'd be over when you take the 1st step but when u're up there the immediate reaction would be almost like mr. bean...! When you know that u're mid air you can't help but feel that u're gonna die when u land.

It felt like forever to reach the water really.... That caused me to breath water into my nostrils as I tried to look when I was gonna reach! Haha, how dumb!

I was one of the lucky few who went ahead to try the 5m jump!!! OMGosh!!!!! It felt like my stomach was left behind and really this time it really took FOREVER!!! The splash follows and the heavier u are the deeper u'll be in the water! Good thing the pool is deep. Hehe.

When to TM for a long awaited Singapore SHOPPING! Really SG is SO much better than Aussie... 24hrs shopping, even if not there'll be late nights too... I can spend 1 whole day shopping man... Next stop shall be CWP, I heard there are some new shops too =)

Met TTT + Dia. Went for dinner @ East Coast Food Village. Princess n Tanya really brighten up my day! Even though I had a good day, they're just like icing on sugar coated candies! =P Headed to CCC, Cheesecake Cafe not open =( Went home with a super shagged body... Knocked out almost immediately!

Hehe, survival jump was FUN! So glad to make it as a Cat 1 SWIMMER! =)

Life back in SG

Well... The weather is not very friendly...

Although the most sickening part is I had to work immediately the next freaking day... The day off was paid back to me on friday =)

Met up with TTT! Awww... How much I miss them!!! Really really missed them lots. It was really heart warming to see Princess's and Tanya's faces when they recieve their gift! I will never forget Tanya's reaction =D Heartwarming~ Coffee Bean beats anything else! Haha.

Went shopping for Winnie's present, hmm. Happy 17th! Hey, you better start to buck up on ur studies ok? Don't be a WORM!!!

Sat was the long long long awaited cell. Missed the AGM... End up went to slp to recover the lost hours... Now I'm well adjusted to SG time! Hehe, so much for Jet Lag =P

Service on Sunday, Pastor Joseph took a little longer than expected... I din't realised I was the projectionist too... So many annoucements!

Lunch together as a church, how long has that been? Went down to FICO for water soccer! Oww... I think there's alot of atheletes in our church... Or maybe I'm getting old... The after effect of the games was almost terrible... Blueblacks all over my shins!

Headed home for dinner while the gang went to Hooked! Sorry guys, just too sick of westernised food. Not that I'm trying to be difficult yea? Hope you guys would understand that 18 days of fish n chips, beef steaks, roast lambs, baked pastas or anything that has a napkin with cutlery set on your tables would appeal to me during maybe this few days? Hehe.

Met up for some chit chat and Starbucks, yes Green tea is nice no doubt but STILL I prefer Ultimate. Haha. Javachip ain't my cup of tea OR coffee even =)

Finally

Mission Success! We accomplished our targets and everything was over! Haha! We were even given a treat to thai food! Yay! Finally something closer to home =)

Our half a day of R&R to Gold Coast, stepped on the sands of Surfer's Paradise. On the way back dinner at Little Singapore in Harbor Town n that's pretty much end of the Trip. Hmm. Dun seems like much eh? Hehe. Well, did a little souvenir shopping here and there and that's really all. It's all work and work after all =(

Part 3...

So as night falls, the surrouding gets extremely dark... the skies turns into different shades! From blue to orange, to pink, to purple and slowly becoming pitch black. You will never ever survive without a torch light in the middle of theses area. It's so dark that if you put your and infront of you, not only you won't be able to see it, but you dun even feel that you are placing it up urself!

But every dark side there's a nice side! Look at the stars!!!! It's brilliant! That's the 1st time I saw SO MUCH stars! Not spreads of them but technically CLOUDS of stars. We could see the milky ways! I love my camera! Hahaha! Amazing!

Even though I could capture some of the stars shots but the photos does not really do justice to God's creation. You really need to be there to experience the full awesome-ness of the stars. Walk into the middle of the desert where the ligth is far behind, soon you'll accustom to the bright stars shining in your eyes. God's majesty is just right before you! It just cracks me that I cannot share all of this with you...

While I was in the desert, my couterparts are in the Airport, I could've been playing my PSP in the nice warm sun =P

Part 2...

So we drove up to Rocky... The sickening 8hrs drive... Lots of weird signs... Haha, I think that made the ride a little more humorous. By the end of the trip most if not all of us were complaining of aching backs and giddy spells. Hah!

The sights of Rocky weren't too bad. Clear skies and nice river just outside of our hotel. Although the next day I'll be in the desert...

Yeap... Another 2 hrs drive. This time on dusty roads... Our bunk is a very echo-y barrack.... We got our safari beds and sleeping bags which weren't much comfort at all... Mosquito nests to keep out the pesky insects...

Some details...

Touchdown in Brisbane International Airport! What alot of people... The place is really crowded...
We got a airport flyer to drive us to Toowoomba - 2hrs away, where we will be staying... He was speeding and got a fine! $150!
Our Motel -East Gate, it's the outskirt of Toowoomba, really literally.

The nights of Toowoomba, we went jogging at night, it was freezing, the skies were so clear and BEAUTIFUL!!! How I wish I could bring a piece of the beauty back with me... A few shots at Picnic Point.

Oakey 10th Anniversary, the reason why we're needed to be there, to show our might! There was a funfair open hse concept. There were relic cars and stores. I was in charged of the nasi lemak and mee goreng! Haha. Dun forget the place is not air conditioned, it was freezing!

Heading up to Rockhampton - The Beef Capital of Aussie. 4 Vehicles, 8 hrs drive... My butt hurts!!!
Our Hotel at Rocky - Travelodge... Can you believe the internet there is $6 for 20mins? Sheesh!

Coming home...

I really really want to come back this instance...

Out of the many many reasons, I guess nothing is stronger than missing the ones I love... Of coz there are push factors as well...

The ppl here are really really *#&^#^$@!#... They're all so racist, we come here work our asses off, go thru the cold weather, brave thru the hot desert, spend loads of money boosting their economy, yet they treat us as second class...

The food here is so expensive... Every meal is about AUD$10, imagine just 2 meals a day for 10 days... it's already $200... Meals are either not nutritious or overly nutritious... Either you get loads of meat with loads of salt or just plain maggie cup noodles if you're trying to save up...

The weather here is terrible, Hot in the day and cold in the night. Sometimes you wear and take off yout jacket in minutes... A sec you're feeling cold and the next you're just too warm to even want to talk or do anything... It's amazing nobody has fallen sick yet.

The exchange rate is not helping also... Everything here is so ex... Not much entertainment... No free broadband anywhere... It's just crazy... Shops closes almost exactly at 5pm... Sundays are not opened unless you travel to a tourist town...

Every town here is the same, visit one and you've visit them all... Coles, Target, Super IGA, Kmart, Andersons, Big W, Big Daddy's pie and your usual fast food restaurant...

My visit to gold coast wasn't a nice one either... Other than the beautiful beach and refreshing air, there was nth that is heart capturing at all... I reckon my stay in the desert was a more enjoyable one...

All this whining.... So much negativity.... Pui!!!

It's just loads of excuses coz the real reason is I want to come home soon so I can stop missing YOU... =P
