Blessed!

Gonna fly home on this coming Wednesday and I feel so blessed.

Within this short 3 weeks or so, I've travelled and explored alot of Brunei. I've practically learnt where's the better foodie places, cheap groceries, fun places to go and I've got God to thank for!

Apart from the RSAF ppl that's so willing to show me around, I've got SQ to show me on the Sundays the places to go and how to go.

Got some great deals too! Bought a few stuffs, laptop RAM, cooler, Ni-MH batts and charger all at low low prices S'pore cannot offer!

Mixed feelings when I'm going back.
Happy coz I'll be returning to all my friends and family, my XBOX and room! I miss my room! All the shopping and hanging out with the gang! Karaoke ESPECIALLY!
Gonna feel sad coz I'll be heading back to a hellhole full of shit waiting for me to clear at work. I'll be leaving this boring i mean peaceful place where work means take your time as long as it's done!

When to Empire - hotel and resort. Grand grand place. I wouldn't mind spending my holiday there. It's far better than Tioman I felt. But kinda expensive. It's really where ALL koreans go for holiday. Tonnes of them! Haha.
So far been to a few places.

Gadong - Orchard Road: LAN Gaming, shopping mall, cinema, food, night market, groceries...
B.S.B - Capital of Brunei: Church, district area, bus interchange, ferry interchange, pork market, shopping center...
Jerudong - Theme Park: Go Karts, Empire Hotel & Resort - Sea Sports, BEST THAI FOOD! etc.
Muara - Hometown!: Aman Center, barber, RBC! X Mall...

Well, Hell of a ride so far. Thank God for this detachment! =)

Everyone's everywhere!

Funny how at this stage all of us are everywhere right now. It's a weird feeling coz we're seeing each other almost every week and now it's like everyone's just not in town. I dunno wad u call that feeling... Starts with M, ends with a G? Go figure? Haha.
Let's see. In the beginning of the year....

Caleb's already in Brunei
Kwo is trapped in Tekong island
Cherie's in Aussie for studies
I went Shanghai for holiday
Von and Lazy is in China now too.
Velle, Jon, Maine, QS etc. etc. went to Cambodia for mission.
Soon we're goin to M'sia for a road trip
Velle's goin to bangkok with frens.
I'm in brunei now.
Gonna go Aussie next up, not before Church camp I think...

Everyone's everywhere! Sounds fun. But I'm missing the fun outings every weekends. Stupid jokes trying to outwit each other with lamest and crappiest things we can find in out minds to spit out. Haha. Not to mention the food! We always go to the better foodie places! I miss that really.

Anywayz, here's an update...

Went to Lakiun, we took the Super Puma there! It's not everyday u can be a passenger on a military helicopter. Though it's not my 1st time =x

Had a hell of a ride on the speedboat on the river that leads to the 1000+ steps to nowhere...

Crazy as hell. I actually suggested to climb the towering scafolding on top of the MOUNTAIN!

That was high and I din't really realised until I was near the top and the whole scaldfold started to WOBBLE!!!. Only then did I realised that I've made a big mistake of going up the tallest point within that 40km....

We saw Mt. Kinabalu from there, I didn't dared to snap anymore photos as I carefully scurried down the wobbly thing only to find that each of it's legs are held by ONLY 2 BOLTS!!! 13 storeys high scaldfolding!!! Thank God I didn't fall and die!.

After that my legs were already shaking mad. Back down the 1299 steps.... Wobbling... Took the boat to the waterfall!

It was great! The water's refreshing and we all had shiok time submersing ourselves in the falls. God bless nature! The water was very very relaxing and certainly was a great experience!

Saw that Outward Bound Brunei was on the way, guess it's a tourist spot. Really thank God coz I paid only $7 for this trip, normally it would cost about $150 inclusive of the Helicopter ride. Leave you guys here with the video of the wild boat ride!

Life's a cup of Bru....

So here I am, sitting in the LAN shop with Bro Caleb 2 seats beside me. Surrounded by what seems to be the future of Brunei - Bleak and hopeless. All of them screaming to every 1s and 0s moving thru the system. All the vulgarities and barbaric things that they do... hmm. maybe it's just not what I expected.

Anyway, the drivers here like to blast their techno shit to the max in their car with their super huge sub woofers. I think their ppl will soon become deaf because of all the yelling and also loud music in cars.

Joined SQ for service, together with chief clerk and 3 other new friends. My Det encik was there, so was my EO. Wow. Hahaa, talk about small world. I think it's good. at least next week they know we can't attend.

Anywayz, the work here for us is minimal and there's plenty of time to do R&R. I do miss going out with the gang though, there's nothing to shop here and if it's not due to military restrictions, I'd loan a car and zoom around as much as possible. Here, entertainment is a huge problem. I seriously do not know how the Brus keep themselves entertained...

The way we see it, they have 1 or 2 shopping centers, a lot of night market stalls. Most of the shops along the streest are nessecities shops and EVERYWHERE you got you can buy $2 DVDs. At least the food is cheap and good. So I guess they spend most of their time eating and watching DVDs at home.

My seniors were commenting that there are alot of children in one family. Who can blame them? Nothing to do? Make babies! Some more it's tax free and cost of living here is not so taxing like Singapore. There's not alot of restrictions too.

That's the thing with Singapore - inflexible and too much rules. Rules that says to protect but in actual fact, stopping and feeding the citizens to think. Throw an average 88/89 kid ALONE in some developing country, he'll die for he can't think for himself. We're all too protected.

Our future looks bleak, just like the Brus... But at least here it's so much more relaxing. Oh btw, there's no such thing as GST here? I think tax free too? But in our defense, we don't have oil. =P

Boring country. no alchohol, only coffee. Everywhere too... coffee... Life's a cup of Bru~

Woohoo!

So i'm in Brunei now, it's very relaxing!

Imagine chalet with everything you'll need. DVD player and TV... The only bad thing is the WiFi sux... But it's alright. Went to Gedung on the 1st night to get some groceries, pretty cool. Things here are relatively cheap.

Hopefully will find some entertainment soon, the field's just outside, there's a gym, badminton court, etc.

Calling and SMSing back to SG is very expensive, $2.50 per min and $0.55 per SMS, so i'll not reply unless super important. Free incoming though, msg me or call at your own expense! Haha.

Gonna post some pics soon.

Got a pair of new Pumas! Thanks Babe! you're the best! Suki too =) I love em'
SQ's doing guard duty now, will join him for service tml. Updatez soon =)

Going to Brunei...

Stupid idiots do stupid things....

Because of 1 over-zealous person who thinks violence is the way to resolve their problems, the whole bloody organisation in SG is on high alert.

Heads surely rolled and definitely more will start to if they all dun find him fast..

Anywayz... Been super busy preparing for Brunei detachment this days. I've been tasked to be in charged of the technical preps. Of course there are still super huge loads of secondary appointments awaiting for me. I hope I can at least have some peace and quiet over there... 3 weeks withou the penguin.

Gonna pack for the trip soon. Hmmm... If let say you wanna contact me, just SMS or Call from the widget on the right -------------------------------------->

Sent my car for repairs, that's it.... Handicaped for the whole day... I cannot imagine that single trip on the MRT costs $1.70 now!!! It's expensive... That's like 1 liter of petrol! Went out with Kat n Angel yesterday... or rather friday.. we spent the whole day... literally whole day. from lunch to breakfast..

QQ Rice @ Square 2 is pretty cool! Choose a rice, maybe 2. Choose 5 sides and they'll do the rest!. Although it's so called a healthy food but I believe that the CARBO is very high...

Went to watch Meet ther Spartans... Crap show.... I suggest not to watch it in SG or just wait for VCD and watch it with a bunch of bored folks... Although some parts are really funny but most of it are really gross..

Went K, too bad Hui can't join us, if not we'd had a really great time... Zi Qing and Hao Yuan. 2 new friends =) Hard to believe that these days I'd still get to make new friends in such ways, without organisation or common grounds. So there's still hope! haha =P

Super early breakfast @ Xin Wang HK Cafe just beside Citibank near Suntec. OH!!!! The cheesy baked rice is GOOD~ It's those kind of cheese you'd imagine PERFECT on pizzas. Just that I shldn't have ordered the fillet one, the mushroom one shld suit me good.

Went home on the 1st train. What a thing to do... Once in a while you really need to go through humility to further appreciate how blessed we are - right at this point...
